Where at one hand PAWS has been at the forefront in spearheading rescues and treatment of injured animals amid COVID-19 lockdown, on the other hand, PAWS initiated the Water-bowl project for 2020. Volunteers across KDMC were provided water bowls to keep water for stray animals and birds so they can quench their thirst in the scorching heat of May and June.

On 2nd May’19, PAWS Founder Nilesh Bhanage & volunteer Chaitanya conducted Corporate Training on Snake Bite & Prevention for Lodha Uppar Thane employees.
In 2 hours, employees were explained about Snake Myths & Reality, do’s & dont’s on encountering a snake, first aid & nearby contacts in case of emergency.
The session concluded with Question & Answer round. Nilesh has 22 years experience in snake rescue while Chaitanya has 18 Years experience.

Team PAWS sent out over 300 kg of food & medical parcels to KERALA AND KARNATAKA. Our five-members team helped in COORG for feeding the hungry and also helped in first-aid treatments.
Thereafter, on receiving several calls from locals around, PAWS sent its ambulance immediately to check for other injured animals. They found 2 dogs who had unfortunately died under the debris of the blast. Also, an injured kingfisher bird has been rescued by PAWS. Several Crows & Pigeons were dead cause of shock. All the dead bodies sent to Murbad Center for burial & injured birds brought 2 PAWS office.
